Overview: Orders in by 10:00 a.m. are out the same
day. Orders in after 10:00 a.m. are out the next morning. The
Stocking Program is a list of items we have in stock at all times
to satisfy your need. Please Contact
Us and we will be pleased to provide you with a list of
items that we stock in each location.
We also work with our clients to expand this list so if you
need an item regularly that is not on the list, please just
ask! We will have it in stock or we will find it for you!
Examples: Window Manufacturers, Metal Fabricators,
Construction, Heating and Air-Conditioning Contractors are examples
of industries that need quick access to standard fasteners at
predictable quality and competitive pricing. Same Day or Next
Day shipment are available for all items in our Stocking Program.
"Plan and Save"
Overview: The Booking program looks at each fastener
you use, whether we distribute or manufacture this item on your
behalf. We review your usage over multiple months (as long as
1 year) and design a release schedule to ensure that you have
the items you need on hand, without cluttering your inventory
or carrying inventory too long. Pricing is based on the "entire
release schedule" or blanket purchase order so that you get the
lowest possible price. The first delivery will be quoted to a
specific date and then all other releases will be available when
you decide and according to your schedule.
Thus, the Booking program allows you to plan and reap the
savings of consolidated manufacturing and distribution 1 Blanket
Purchase Order, 2-12 Deliveries, 2 - 12 month time-frame.
Customer Chooses
- Release Dates and Release Quantities.

Examples: Manufacturers who consume custom and
standard fasteners in their manufacturing process in a predictable
manner will be able to plan quantities against their production
schedules and in planning, lower their cost of purchase and
cost of carrying inventory. In addition, they will receive consistent
and predictable quality throughout the year without the risk
of changing vendors and changing quality.
"Minimum customer inventory - Maximum Service"
Overview: The Commitment Program is similar to the
Booking Program where there are multiple releases or "draws" throughout
a 12 month period, however different, in that the release dates
are not known in advance. Instead, a "draw quantity" is established
per item and Westland Fasteners commits to have 2 - 3 draws on
hand at all times, so we will always have inventory available
for immediate delivery even with sharp changes in demand.

- 12 Month time-frame.
For each item, we establish a minimum to have in stock per
draw Buffer inventory / draws will be on hand to avoid stock-out's
should you have sudden spikes in demand.
Examples: Manufacturers who consume custom and
standard fasteners in their manufacturing process but where
the demand is variable (up and down) will benefit from the Commitment
Program because it is focused on "draw" quantities rather than
specific quantities at specific dates. Although this is an annual
program, Westland will allow up to 15 months to accept the entire
draw quantities planned at no additional carrying cost to make
it easy for customers to adopt this program. Like the Booking
Program, customers will also enjoy consistent quality throughout
the entire program on every part under the program.
"Don't worry, because we will worry for you"
Overview: We offer Vendor Managed Programs to our
customers who would rather leave the worry of managing "C-Item"
inventory such as fasteners to us. Whether it is a few items or
all of your fasteners, we can vendor manage your inventory and
ensure that the right product is always in the right bin when
you need it.
- Blanket P.O. for the year.
- Estimated Demand.
- Frequency of count and replenishment defined.
- Minimum stock on-site would be our maximum amount of delivery
time for that item plus 2 weeks.
For each item, we establish a minimum to have in stock per
draw Buffer inventory / draws will be on hand to avoid stock-out's
should you have sudden spikes in demand.
Examples: Manufacturers who have adopted Lean
Manufacturing or Kanban are well suited for the Vendor Managed
Inventory Program, although this is not a necessity as Westland
Fasteners will use our personnel to verify your inventory consumption
and in-stock status against a predefined schedule. We will replenish
the inventory accordingly to ensure no stock-outs and provide
you with usage information to assist in future planning.
